Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Independently design and implement complex distributed software using object-oriented approach/technologies.
2. Lead ambiguous and undefined technical problems to resolution.
3. Design and develop services capable of handling high-volume transactions and data.
4. Understand business requirements, challenges, and translate them into workable solutions.
5. Resolve technical issues independently by understanding existing code and architecture.
6. Mentor and review work of other engineers, maintaining high standards.
7. Work effectively in a cross-functional team and influence solution design impacting the larger organization.

Mandatory Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent.
2. 4+ years of professional software/product development experience.
3. Experience in designing and architecting reliable and scalable systems.
4. Proficiency in programming and delivering high-quality code in any software language.
5. Experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, operational excellence, and CI/CD.
6. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver quality software efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Hands-on experience in Java backend engineering.
2. Experience developing cloud-native applications using Java technologies.
3. Knowledge of Core Java, Collections, Threading, Memory Management, Spring Boot, and Rest API.
4. Exposure to Microservices architecture.
5. Unix command line proficiency.
6. Knowledge of database objects, DML, DDL.
7. Prior experience in Indian Banking or Fintech sectors is a plus.
