Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking an AS400 developer with 5–8 years of experience to customize and enhance Infor XA applications. The candidate will gather requirements, analyze needs, design solutions, and modify programs. They will perform unit testing, assist with UAT, and support deployment to test/production environments, including data migrations.

Ideal candidates hold a CS/CE degree, have strong analytical skills, and are proficient in RPG, CL, and SQL on the AS400 platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering with academic excellence.
• 5–8 years of AS400 development experience.
• Experience with RPG, CL, and database design on AS400; knowledge of Infor XA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The candidate should have AS400 Development tools skills like RPG, ILE RPG. If candidate comes with Infor XA development skills, it is an added advantage. The candidate will work on Customization/Enhancements to Client needs on the Infor XA application. The candidate should be able to gather the requirements, analyze the requirements, identify a possible solution, and develop/modify the program(s) to get the results. The candidate should be able to perform unit test as well support client on User Acceptance Testing. The candidate should be able to support client to push the development into Test/Production systems upon completing UAT and support post GO Live. Candidate should also support any data migration or upgrade to systems.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering from Reputed Institution or University with Academic Excellence with 5 to 8 Years Experience.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain AS400 applications using RPG (Report Program Generator), CL (Control Language), and other relevant programming languages.
• Design and implement database structures and file layouts on the AS400 platform.
• Write, test, and debug AS400 programs to ensure their accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to coding standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS400 applications, including performance optimization, error handling, and data integrity.
