Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Bengaluru seeks a lead developer to drive Windchill data migration projects and enhancements to PLM solutions. You will own migration tasks, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality CAD, WTPart, and metadata migrations from legacy PLM systems.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in PLM data migration, 3+ years in Windchill, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Shell) to automate workflows and validate data

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 7+ years in PLM data migration
• 7+ years PLM data migration experience
• At least 3+ years in Windchill or Windchill+
• Direct experience with Windchill+ Bulk Data Migration Tool or Windchill loaders (WBM, loaders, Info*Engine-based utilities)
• Proven track record executing CAD, Document, WTPart, and metadata migrations
• Experience with Windchill+ Bulk Data Migration tools
• Mapping transformation logic (attributes, soft types, classification)
• WTParts, EBOM management, CAD-WTPart associations
• Strong SQL/Oracle query skills for extraction and validation
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation
• Understanding of Windchill+ data model, lifecycles, workflows, and security rules
• Experience migrating from Legacy PDM/PLM platforms
• Experience migrating CAD vaults

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new software products and enhancements to PLM solutions.

• Execute SQL/Oracle queries for data extraction, validation, and auditing.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell, PowerShell) to streamline migration workflows.
• Understand Windchill+ data model, lifecycles, workflows, and security rules.
• Migrate from Legacy PDM/PLM platforms and CAD vaults to Windchill+ environments
