Our Bot Manager product is designed to provide top‑tier cloud computing security, prevent data theft, and mitigate large account takeover attempts. We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily.

As part of a Bot Manager Engineering team, you will be focused on building highly usable, reliable, and scalable software solutions for bot threat detection, protection and control features. Allowing our customers to better manage bot traffic and help improve the internet for millions of people.

Responsibilities

• Working on projects that improve our bot detection products, making Akamai a leader in bot detection.
• Implementing new features, enhancing existing features, and optimizing functionality from conception and design through testing and deployment.
• Working on fixing customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Working on data analysis for web and mobile platforms.
• Working on making improvements to client‑side components like JavaScript on a need‑basis.

Qualifications

5+ years of overall software development experience, along with a relevant degree in Computer Science.

• Hands‑on experience with Python and Golang, particularly in building web APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, with the ability to write clean, well‑structured, and maintainable code.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
• Capable of effectively managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Experience or knowledge in Machine Learning or Data Science is a plus.
