Job summary

PW (PhysicsWallah) is seeking an SDET III to design, develop, and run automated testing across web, mobile, and API layers, delivering scalable quality outcomes and mentoring junior SDET/QA engineers.

You will own automation architecture, drive shift-left practices, review test stability, and collaborate with Dev and Product teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery. Experience with Java, Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured or Karate, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins is valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Hands-on Selenium (Java) for web automation.
• Hands-on Appium (Java) for mobile automation.
• Experience in API and microservices testing (Rest Assured or Karate).
• Strong Java and OOP concepts; leadership of QA/SDET teams.

SDET III will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions for the company’s software products. This role requires strong expertise in automation framework design across web, mobile, and API layers, close collaboration with development and product teams, and ownership of quality outcomes. The role also includes technical mentoring and leadership of junior SDET and QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and backend systems

Mandatory Skill Sets
