Job summary

Ascendion in Bengaluru seeks a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver, and to build scalable test frameworks (Page Object Model, data-driven, hybrid approaches).

You will integrate automation with CI/CD, perform API testing with Postman/Rest Assured, validate data with SQL, and contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on API testing experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Familiarity with Maven/Gradle.
• Version control with Git and issue tracking with JIRA.

• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

• Continuously improve automation coverage and framework efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Hybrid, Keyword-Driven, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend testing.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle for build management.
