Job summary

Brillio is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build AI-powered healthcare solutions leveraging Azure cloud services and large language models. You will implement conversational assistants, RAG pipelines, and secure data handling to improve member experiences.

Collaborate with AI architects and platform teams to route LLMs, manage prompts, and optimize APIs and backend services for performance, latency, and cost efficiency while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in AI-powered healthcare solution development and Azure cloud engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field; Azure AI Engineer Associate preferred.
• Experience with responsible AI or HIPAA healthcare data privacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered healthcare solutions leveraging LLMs and Generative AI services to enhance member experiences.
• Build and enhance conversational healthcare assistants and intelligent workflows for personalized member journeys.
• Develop RAG solutions including semantic search and vector databases integration with enterprise sources.
• Engineer and orchestrate AI agents for complex healthcare workflows with multi-step reasoning and tool-calling patterns.
• Enable features like provider search, facility search, symptom guidance, and claims status within healthcare journeys.
• Collaborate with AI architects to implement AI Gateway integrations, LLM routing, prompt management, and observability.
• Develop APIs, backend services, and chat interfaces integrating AI models into web apps while focusing on performance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure HIPAA and Responsible AI compliance with guardrails, monitoring, and safety mechanisms.
