Job summary

Vena is seeking a Senior Software Developer specializing in C#/.NET to join our Product Development team in Indore, India. You’ll maintain and enhance our Vena Excel Desktop Addin, focus on performance, and upgrade libraries in a Windows desktop context.

You will lead improvements, resolve bugs, and support CI/CD with a developer‑driven culture. The role requires leadership, self‑direction, and a passion for building robust software for our 1,700+ customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience in C#/.NET
• Experience with Windows desktop applications
• Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Knowledge of algorithms and computational complexity

Description

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of a product engineering team maintaining and supporting our Vena Excel Desktop Addin, which is our primary product and is used by most of Vena’s 1,700+ and growing customers. The product is written in C#/.NET.

Using your software development skills, your primary role is to make key improvements and upgrades to our code base, including optimizing product performance, improving existing product features, and upgrading libraries. You will also be responsible for supporting the product by resolving bugs and enabling our support teams to resolve issues.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Improve product performance and make every action snappier to delight our users.
• Improve product by improving existing product features.
• Maintain code base by upgrading libraries and resolving tech debt.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Help build and maintain test automation.
• Assist other teams in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Document issues and contribute to our internal team documentation.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and help to plan and execute those improvements.
• Mentor and coach developers on coding best practices and debugging techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting COM addins using .NET interop

• Experience in software development in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript
