Job summary

Vk Venture is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Fintech) to design, build, and scale a core financial technology platform. You will create secure, low-latency systems processing millions of transactions daily while complying with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other regulations.

You will lead architecture and integration with external banking systems, drive cloud and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure), and mentor junior engineers to uphold reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fintech or high-volume domains.
• Strong backend skills with Java, Go, Python, or C#.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS, GDPR or similar financial regulations is a plus.

Senior Software Developer (Fintech)

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Developer, you will design, build, and scale our core financial technology platform. You will be responsible for creating highly secure, low-latency, and fault‑tolerant systems that process millions of transactions daily while ensuring strict compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Scaling: Design robust APIs, microservices, and distributed systems capable of handling high-volume, real-time transaction processing.
• Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous data protection mechanisms, encryption, and secure coding practices to safeguard financial data and meet regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Integration Management: Build and maintain seamless integrations with external banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party financial APIs.
• Technical Leadership: Lead complex engineering projects from conception to deployment, conducting rigorous code reviews to maintain high code quality.
• Mentorship: Coach and guide junior developers, fostering an engineering culture focused on performance, reliability, and security.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably within fintech, digital banking, e-commerce, or high‑transaction trading environments.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in backend languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, or C#) and working with relational and non‑relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Fintech Expertise: Strong understanding of financial ledger systems, payment rails (ACH, SEPA, Swift, or UPI), and event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managing CI/CD pipelines in a containerised environment (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a strong collaborative mindset to work closely with Product, Compliance, and Risk teams.
