Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in India. You will drive the design, development and maintenance of scalable Snowflake-based data solutions and collaborate with data scientists on ML initiatives.

You will design robust data pipelines, optimize queries, manage Snowflake environments on AWS/Azure, and implement security and governance while leveraging Airflow and DBT to ensure reliable data workflows.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of data engineering experience.
• 4+ years hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Strong Python for data applications.
• Cloud skills: AWS or Azure.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to join our data engineering team and drive the design, development and maintenance of scalable data solutions using Snowflake's cloud data platform. This role requires expertise in modern data engineering practices, cloud technologies and AI/ML integration within the Snowflake ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Snowflake's native capabilities


• Develop and optimize complex queries using Snow SQL and Snow PLSQL


• Build scalable data applications using the Snowpark framework


• Deploy and manage Snowflake environments on AWS and Azure cloud platforms


• Integrate Snowflake with various cloud services and data sources


• Establish security best practices and data governance frameworks


• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management


• Maintain data workflows using Apache Airflow


• Create data transformation pipelines using DBT


• Monitor data quality, reliability and performance across pipelines


• Leverage Snowflake Cortex AI for advanced analytics and machine learning use cases


• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering including 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake


• Proficiency in Snow SQL, Snow PLSQL and Snowpark for query development, stored procedures and Python-based data applications


• Advanced skills in Python programming with a focus on data engineering


• Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure cloud services


• Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and DBT for data transformation and modeling


• Background in Snowflake Cortex AI for native AI and ML capabilities
