Job summary
Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Senior SharePoint Administrator to lead enterprise SharePoint governance, modernization, and support for large-scale environments across Development, QA, DR, and Production.
The role requires 10+ years in the field, with 5+ years in on-prem SharePoint administration and expertise in ShareGate/AvePoint migrations, PowerShell automation, and MS 365 integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience with at least 5+ years in on-premise SharePoint Administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead administration and support of large-scale enterprise SharePoint farms across Development, QA, DR, and Production environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain high availability SharePoint environments.
- Perform capacity planning, farm optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Define and enforce operational standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership for SharePoint platform architecture and roadmap.
- Establish governance frameworks covering security, content, capacity, and compliance.
- Conduct architecture reviews and platform assessments; drive modernization and migration strategies.
- Manage and support hybrid SharePoint environments; integrate with Microsoft 365 services.
- Lead enterprise migration projects from SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and file shares; develop migration strategies and validation processes.
- Perform migration assessments using ShareGate or AvePoint tools.
- Operational Support & Incident Management; escalation for P1/P2; root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with Microsoft and vendor support during critical outages; design PowerShell automation solutions.
- Automate user access reviews, configuration validation, capacity monitoring, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven and automated operational improvements.
- Security & Compliance: authentication, SSL, service accounts, hardening, vulnerability remediation.
- Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: DR planning, testing, RPO/RTO targets.
- Release & Deployment Management: deploy custom SharePoint solutions, patches; define rollback procedures.
- Mentor SharePoint admins and L2/L3 engineers; knowledge-sharing; support recruitment and evaluation.
