Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a skilled Service Technician – Chillers & HVAC to ensure efficient commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and customer support for chillers and HVAC systems.

You will lead operational tasks, coordinate with the service team, and maintain compliance with EHS standards while delivering high-quality service and timely reports.

Qualifications

• Graduation, Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, RAC, Electrical or Electronics.
• Minimum 5+ years of on-site experience working with chillers.
• Strong technical understanding of chiller systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and servicing chillers and HVAC systems.
• Repairing HVAC equipment and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator for manpower and parts.
• Lead safety, site audits, and backlog updates in weekly discussions.
• Submit daily reports and maintain service documentation.

What will you do:

As a Service Technician, you will ensure efficient commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and customer support for chillers and HVAC systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Commissioning of chillers and HVAC systems.
• Repairing all types of HVAC equipment.
• Conducting customer follow-ups and attending scheduled meetings.
• Coordinating manpower and parts requirements with the Service Coordinator.
• Leading weekly team discussions on safety, site audits, and backlog updates.
• Updating the Service Manager and Coordinator with monthly plans.
• Handling all models of chillers and low-side equipment complaints per guidelines.
• Performing timely preventive maintenance (PPM) as per company SOP.
• Conducting RCA for failures and sharing findings with the Quality team and FFL.
• Ensuring compliance with Trane's EHS standards.
• Managing customer service requirements professionally.
• Generating service leads through customer interactions.
• Ensuring high-quality, smooth, and timely completion of service tasks.
• Submitting daily reports to the office and ASM.
• Sharing service reports with the deployer, including parts requirements.
• Maintaining a valid 2-wheeler/4-wheeler driving license.
• Ensuring adherence to safety and vehicle audit requirements.
• Applying hands-on experience in chiller installation, warranty work, and AMC services.
• Using MS Office, email, and internet tools for documentation and communication.

• Hands-on field experience in chiller installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, email, and internet applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with service teams.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and operational standards.
