Your day at NTT DATA
The Technical Services Implementation Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing technical support to clients. Responsibilities include remotely supporting clients within service level agreements, installing and configuring software and hardware, resolving incidents, performing root‑cause analysis, and adhering to related processes such as change management. The role involves complex environments for installation, configuration, and fault management.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with clients on site to meet complex requirements of a solution.
- Escalate unresolved problems and issues to relevant third parties.
- Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications to a first‑line resolution.
- Write reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation.
- Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures for installations and fixes.
- Act as coach and mentor to junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
- Coordinate activities of engineers in line with performance targets.
- Provide third‑line telephonic, remote, and on‑site support; manage problem resolution.
- Contribute to higher‑complexity design work, providing input as expected.
- Take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.
Knowledge and Attributes
- Strong technical design and business principles understanding.
- Experienced project management, administration, and execution of installations.
- Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
- Proactive problem‑solving approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Coaching, mentoring, and team guidance experience.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Specialized training in new technologies and legacy systems is required.
- Project management certification is desirable.
Required Experience
- Seasoned experience in technical implementation engineering or a similar role.
- Experience engaging with clients and delivering presentations.
- Project administration, documentation, and report writing experience.
- Project management experience.
