AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior SDET to build and maintain scalable Web and API automation frameworks from scratch. You will define the automation strategy within squads, driving high test coverage and reliable release cycles.

You will lead API automation using REST Assured and frontend automation with Playwright, while mentoring engineers on testing best practices. Remote work is supported with a local India presence, within a compliant environment.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer
• Technical Solvency: Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
• API Automation: Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Frontend Automation: Proven hands‑on experience with Playwright.
• Testing Philosophy: Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Domain Experience: Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with Performance or Load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• Experience working with Mocking frameworks.
