Job summary

Cornerstone's Hyderabad office is looking for a Senior SDET to drive quality for the CSOD Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with software architects and engineers, lead testing efforts, and ensure robust test coverage across unit, integration, and UI layers.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in CS or equivalent.
• 3-6 years of software QA experience, including analytical systems testing.
• 2+ years building test automation using Selenium, Robotium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

Responsibilities

• QA leadership within an agile team to assure CSOD Cloud Platform quality.
• Gain product expertise to contribute to feature/enhancement development.
• Write and execute test cases; log defects and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with product owners to analyze requirements and ensure clarity.
• Develop automated tests at unit, integration, and UI levels with TestNG, Selenium, Cypress, and others.
• Manage test case inventory for the scrum team and coordinate with QA members.
• Provide technical guidance to QA and Product Support teams.
• Analyze defects and test results to identify root causes and improve quality.
• Support CI practices and continuous improvement in testing.
• Write SQL queries for data setup and verification.
• Communicate status and critical issues to the scrum team and stakeholders.

About the Role:

The Senior SDET role is vital to ensuring the quality andreliability of our CSOD Cloud Platform. You'll work in an agile softwaredevelopment environment, gaining a deep technical and functional understandingof our product architecture. Your contributions will directly impact ourongoing feature and enhancement development efforts.

In this role you will...

• Quality Assurance Leadership: Work within an agile development environment to ensure the quality of the CSOD Cloud Platform's architecture.
• Product Expertise: Gain a comprehensive understanding of our product architecture and play a key role in feature and enhancement development.
• Manual Testing: Write and execute test cases/plans, log defects, verify fixes, and ensure thorough coverage.
• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product owners to analyze requirements, raise questions, and ensure clarity.
• Test Automation: Develop automated tests at the unit, integration, and UI layers using tools like TestNG, Selenium, Cypress, and others.
• Scrum Collaboration: Manage the test case inventory for your scrum team and coordinate with QA team members.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to QA and Product Support teams when necessary.
• Defect Analysis: Analyze defects and test results to identify root causes and improve software quality.
• Participate in the enhancement of our Test Automation and Continuous Integration practices Continuous Improvement.

You have what it takes if you have...

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-6 years of experience in software quality assurance, including testing of analytical systems.
• 2+ years of experience in building test automation using tools like Selenium,Robotium, Cypress, Playwrite, or Appium.

• Technical Skills:

1. Extensive experience with various types of testing: static/dynamic, black/white/grey box, automated regression, build verification, and volume testing.
2. Strong analytical skills with a creative and detail-oriented approach.
3. Proficient in SQL query writing (MySQL, Oracle).
4. Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
5. Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
6. Tools: Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestLink, TestRail, and Bugzilla.
7. Operating Systems: Proficient with Unix/Linux systems.
8. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

• AI Test Strategy: Design and execute validation strategiesfor AI-powered features, including Generative AI, LLM integrations, RAGpipelines, prompts, and AI agents.
• AI Quality Evaluation: Create evaluation datasets andautomate validation for accuracy, relevance, hallucination detection, safety,toxicity, bias, and factual consistency.
• AI Automation: Build AI-driven automation frameworksleveraging Python, Java, Playwright/Selenium, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• AI Observability: Monitor AI quality metrics, regressiontrends, prompt changes, model performance, and production telemetry.
• Automation Framework: Enhance scalable automationframeworks with API, UI, integration, performance, and contract testing.
• Experience with AI/LLM testing, prompt engineering, MCP,REST APIs, vector databases, and AI evaluation frameworks is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similarAI coding assistants.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms,and performance testing.
