Job summary

CornerstoneOnDemand is seeking an SDET to lead quality engineering for AI technologies deployed on AWS, Claude, and other Gen AI tools. You will design automated test frameworks and suites to validate intelligent automation solutions and AI models, ensuring high quality releases globally.

You will own SOS: test strategy, automated regression, integration suites, CI/CD test integration, and production monitoring.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of automation testing experience for backend services.
• Strong REST API testing and distributed system knowledge.
• Experience with frontend testing and end-to-end browser automation.
• Experience with LLM integrations in AI features.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test automation frameworks for AI backend & frontend services on AWS, covering API testing, load testing, and deployment validation for AI models.
• Own quality end-to-end: test strategy, automated regression and integration suites, CI/CD test pipeline integration.
• Validate retrieval quality for our RAG architecture on Weaviate, including relevance testing for hybrid vector, keyword search, ingestion pipeline data integrity and semantic cache correctness.
• Partner with engineering, product, platform and data engineering teams in architecture discussions and design review, bringing quality lens to new features.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for scenarios where automation isn't feasible or sufficient.

CornerstoneOnDemand is looking for a motivated SDET who will lead the quality engineering for our outgoing AI technologies using AWS, Claude and other Generative AI tools. You will be responsible for designing and building automated test frameworks and suites that validate our intelligent automation solutions, AI models and custom Gen AI, ensuring they are released with high quality and reliability across the organizations of the world.

In this role, you will...

• Design and build test automation frameworks for our AI backend & frontend services on AWS, covering API contract testing, load/performance testing and deployment validation for AI models.
• Own quality end-to-end: test strategy, automated regression and integration suites, CI/CD test pipeline integration and production quality monitoring/alerting.
• Validate retrieval quality for our RAG architecture on Weaviate, including relevance testing for hybrid vector, keyword search, ingestion pipeline data integrity and semantic cache correctness.
• Partner with engineering, product, platform and data engineering teams in architecture discussions and design review, bringing quality lens to new features.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for scenarios where automation isn't feasible or sufficient.

You've Got What It Takes If You Have...

• 2-4 years of experience in automation testing backend services in Java or Python and JavaScript or TypeScript for frontend.
• Solid understanding of REST API testing, distributed systems, async programming and test strategy for service-oriented architectures.
• Experience testing modern web UIs, component level testing and end-to-end browser automation.
• Experience testing systems with LLM integrations across backend and user-facing AI features.
  Strong engineering fundamentals.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms, AWS or Azure or GCP.
• Experience with prompt engineering or experimenting with LLMs.
• Personal projects involving AI.
