Job summary

Securonix Bengaluru is seeking a Senior SDET to drive quality engineering across SIEM, ThreatQ, and related cloud-based products. You will design scalable automation frameworks and own end-to-end testing strategies, collaborating with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in QA/SDET roles, strong Python, Pytest, and Playwright skills, and a passion for automated quality in a cyber security platform.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Pytest, including fixtures and parametrization.
• Experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation.
• REST API automation and testing expertise.
• Designing scalable automation frameworks, not just scripts.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD systems.
• Understanding microservices and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.
• Build and maintain UI and end-to-end automation using Playwright.
• Develop automated test suites for API, UI, backend, and end-to-end testing.
• Drive API-first automation strategy for microservices and platform capabilities.
• Validate REST APIs, service integrations, authentication, data contracts, and workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

RoleOverview:

AsaSeniorSDET,youwilldesignandbuildscalableautomationsolutionsacrossAPI,UI,backend,integration,andend-to-endworkflows.TheidealcandidatewillhavestrongprogrammingskillsinPython, hands-on experience with PytestandPlaywright, and a solid understanding of API and microservices testing. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Analyzeautomationfailures,applicationlogs,APIresponses,andbackenddatatoperformroot-causeanalysis.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions to improve testability, observability, reliability, and product quality.
