Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile teams within the Digital Products and Solutions group. You will facilitate ceremonies, coach teams, and ensure delivery of software applications in a global, distributed environment.

With 8+ years in software development/architecture and a strong background in SDLC, you will partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to drive value, manage risks, and foster continuous improvement across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 8+ years of software development/architecture experience.
• CSM or SAFe RTE certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role.
• Previous experience as a software developer for understanding technical challenges.
• Strong SDLC and Agile methodologies knowledge.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to lead multiple Agile teams with competing priorities.
• Deep Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework.
• Hands-on experience as Developer/DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog in line with business goals.
• Identify and remove impediments to keep teams focused on delivering high-value increments.
• Coach and mentor teams on Agile practices to promote self-organization.
• Track project progress and team performance using relevant metrics and report to stakeholders.
• Foster continuous improvement by reflecting on processes and outcomes.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams and management for status, risks, and dependencies.
• Engage with development teams to understand challenges and facilitate solutions.
• Oversee delivery of software applications using Scrum/Kanban/SAFe approaches.
• Manage technical and business stakeholders and project risks.

What You Bring

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and software architecture.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role.
• Previous experience as a software developer or in a technical role is highly preferred to ensure understanding of technical challenges faced by the team.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to lead multiple Agile teams effectively while managing competing priorities.
• Deep Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework
• Continuous improvement and process-oriented mindset
• Handson technical experience as Developer, DevOps.
• A curious and passionate approach to problem-solving, building, and self-improvement.
