Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to join our expanding team and lead the adoption and implementation of the Scrum framework across our organization. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in fostering an Agile mindset and driving continuous improvement within the Scrum Team.

Agile Facilitation and Guidance

• 20% Facilitate and guide the Scrum Team on Agile principles and practices, including Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospective):
• 10% Ensure the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum principles and values:
• 5% Champion Agile practices and Scrum methodology throughout the organization:

Team Coaching and Mentoring

• 15% Coach and mentor the Scrum Team on continuous improvement and maximizing their effectiveness:
• 5% Foster a collaborative and transparent work environment within the Scrum Team:

Impediment Removal and Stakeholder Management

• 15% Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and elevate unresolved issues to stakeholders:
• 5% Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Scrum Team and external stakeholders:

Product Backlog and Progress Tracking

• 10% Partner with the Product Owner & Dev Lead to refine and manage the product backlog:
• 10% Track team progress and burndown charts to ensure timely delivery of sprint goals:

Continuous Improvement and Learning

• 5% Stay up-to-date on the latest mobile testing tools and methodologies:

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Development Team: Work closely with developers to ensure that the technical aspects of the project align with the product vision and goals. Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team to resolve any technical challenges.
• Quality Assurance (QA) Team: Collaborate with QA specialists to ensure that the product meets quality standards and that testing processes are integrated into the development cycle.
• Stakeholders: Engage with various stakeholders, including business analysts, marketing teams, and customer support, to gather feedback and ensure that the product meets user needs and business objectives.
• Senior Management: Report progress, challenges, and successes to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and Agile adoption across the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant Experience – 8+ years of experience as a SM in relevant domain.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelors in Software Engineering Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is usually required.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications can enhance a candidate's qualifications and demonstrate expertise in business analysis. Some commonly recognized certifications include: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Required: Proven experience as a Scrum Master or experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies
• Excellent coaching and facilitation skills
• Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration within a team
• Experience removing roadblocks and resolving impediments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM))
• Preferred: Experience in with Animal Health Diagnostics
