Job summary

Axalta in India (Vadodara) is seeking a QC Chemist to ensure testing and approval of RM, PM, and FG as per customer specs. You will perform paint sample testing per national/international methods and issue standardized reports to customers.

The role requires 1–3 years in paints QC, familiarity with ASTM/ISO standards, and hands-on use of Viscometers, gloss meters, GC, KF analyzer, titrator, and color spectrophotometer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Paint Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in QC testing within paints/coatings industry.
• Knowledge of ASTM/ISO paint testing standards.
• Hands-on experience with paint testing equipment such as Viscometers, gloss meters, DFT Meter & Analytical instruments like Gas chromatography, KF Moisture Analyzer, Auto Titrator, Color Spectrophotometer.

Responsibilities

• Implement inspection plans for incoming materials and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with specifications for all released materials and products.
• Conduct trend analysis of finished goods test results to identify patterns and improvements.
• Maintain calibration and upkeep of QC laboratory equipment.
• Provide final shade approval for finished goods prior to dispatch.
