Job summary

GyanSys in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a senior SAP technical developer to design and deliver scalable SAP solutions across ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud landscapes. This individual‑contributor role requires hands‑on coding, architecture engagement, and timely production support.

You will lead workshops, drive modernization initiatives, mentor juniors, and ensure quality through ATC checks and governance, while exploring new SAP technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP development experience.
• Expertise in ABAP OO, CDS views, and RAP.
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA in ECC/S/4HANA and cloud landscapes.
• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, BAS, ADT, and Eclipse.
• Ability to lead technical workshops and provide production support.

Responsibilities

We are hiring a highly skilled, hands‑on Senior SAP Technical Developer to join our team.

This is a senior, individual‑contributor position for someone who writes production‑quality code, leads technical and requirements discussions, drives modernization initiatives, and provides timely production support while delivering scalable, maintainable SAP solutions across ECC, S/4HANA and cloud landscapes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of scalable, maintainable SAP solutions aligned with enterprise standards and Clean Core principles.
• Work hands‑on as a developer to build, test and deliver high‑quality SAP enhancements and extensions while meeting delivery commitments.
• Lead development and requirements workshops with architects, functional teams, integration partners and business stakeholders to convert business needs into actionable technical plans.
• Drive modernization, production issue resolution and development governance (quality, performance and compliance) across SAP landscapes.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, promote reuse and best practices, and take end‑to‑end accountability for technical deliverables.
• Continuously evaluate emerging SAP technologies, modernization opportunities, and innovation trends to support enterprise transformation initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

• ABAP: Classical ABAP and Object‑Oriented ABAP (reports, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, dialog programming).
• S/4HANA: CDS Views, AMDP, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), ABAP on HANA, OData v2/v4.
• SAP BTP & Extensibility: SAP BTP ABAP Environment, CAP model, Business Application Studio (BAS), ADT, and Eclipse.
• Integrations & Interfaces: REST APIs, SOAP, OData, RFC/BAPI, ALE/IDoc, and proxy/web services.
• Forms & Reporting: Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
• Modernization & Quality: Custom code remediation, ATC/static checks, HANA performance optimization.
• Automation & Process: SAP Workflow.

Functional Domain Exposure

• Proven development exposure in at least two of the following SAP functional areas: MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, QM, FI, GTS, Procurement & Supply Chain, CRM, PLM, EHSM.
