Ongoing Projects and Production Support

About the Role

StrategyStack Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant to support ongoing projects and

production operations for a global fashion and retail GCC based in Bengaluru.

The consultant will contribute hands-on SAP FICO expertise to projects already in progress, enhancements and

change requests, while ensuring reliable day‑to‑day Finance operations. The role spans requirements analysis,

solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and post‑deployment stabilization, alongside incident resolution

and financial close support.

The consultant will work with Finance stakeholders, project teams, the Application Managed Services (AMS) partner

and other Finance technology teams. Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Business Planning and

Consolidation (BPC) is required to understand dependencies and coordinate across applications.

Key Responsibilities

Ongoing Projects and Enhancements

Contribute to existing SAP Finance projects and workstreams, working within agreed scope, milestones and

delivery standards.

Engage Finance stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess current processes and translate business needs into

functional designs and specifications.

Perform SAP FICO configuration and support approved enhancements and change requests, including impact

assessment across integrated processes.

Prepare test scenarios and execute functional, integration and regression testing; support user acceptance testing

and resolve defects with business and technical teams.

Coordinate with developers, integration teams and AMS partners to deliver changes, manage dependencies and

escalate risks to project milestones.

Support release readiness, cutover activities, deployment validation and post‑deployment stabilization; maintain

documentation and transfer knowledge to support teams.

Production Support and Finance Operations

Provide functional production support across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset

Accounting and Controlling.

Analyze, prioritize and resolve incidents within agreed service levels; investigate root causes and implement or

coordinate corrective actions to reduce recurrence.

Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, addressing posting, reconciliation and reporting issues that

affect Finance operations.

Manage support and change priorities with Finance and AMS teams, communicating business impact, progress,

dependencies and escalations.

Support master data and configuration changes, financial reporting and audit requests in line with change control

and approval requirements.

Coordinate issues and changes involving SAP FICO, Ariba, Concur, SAC and BPC with the respective teams;

maintain SOPs and functional knowledge repositories.

Required Qualifications and Experience

812+ years of SAP experience with strong hands‑on SAP FICO functional expertise.

Experience contributing to SAP Finance projects and enhancements as well as production support in an

established SAP landscape.

Strong expertise in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and CO, including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center

Accounting and Internal Orders.

Hands‑on experience in requirements analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, defect resolution and

deployment support.

Experience preparing functional specifications and working with technical teams to deliver SAP changes.

Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting complex financial close, reporting, reconciliation and

accounting processes.

Experience working directly with Finance stakeholders and coordinating with project teams, AMS partners and

other application teams.

Working experience and knowledge of SAC for Finance reporting, analytics and planning, and BPC for budgeting,

forecasting, planning and consolidation.

Working knowledge and experience with SAP Group Reporting, including financial consolidation, intercompany

eliminations and integration with SAP Finance.

Understanding of SAP FICO integration and data dependencies with Ariba, Concur, SAC and BPC.

Ability to balance project deliverables with production priorities, take ownership through completion and

communicate clearly with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and/or SAP ECC FICO in large global environments.

Experience in retail, fashion, apparel or consumer products.

Experience working with large system integrators, global AMS providers and distributed Finance teams.

Experience in SOX‑controlled environments, financial audits and controlled change and release processes.

Candidate Profile

A hands‑on SAP FICO SME who can move between project delivery and production support, understand business

impact, deliver changes with appropriate testing and controls, and coordinate effectively across Finance and

technology teams.

Location and Working Hours

The position is based onsite at the client GCC office in Bengaluru, India, and supports US‑based stakeholders.

Appropriate overlap with US Eastern Time is required for project discussions, business meetings, critical production

issues and financial close periods.
