Job summary

Webasto Roofsystems India is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to strengthen our SAP Platform Basis team and ensure stability, security, and continuous improvement of our global SAP landscape.

The role involves operating a complex SAP ecosystem including ECC, NetWeaver, S/4HANA, BW/BI, SAP Datasphere, SAC, BTP, Cloud ALM, CPI and AS Java, with cloud operations and IAM duties, plus system copies, upgrades and transport management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP Basis experience with hands-on system copies and refreshes.
• Strong transport management, performance monitoring and optimization skills.
• Experience with SSO (SAML 2.0/SPNEGO) and digital certificates.
• Ability to manage IAM, access control and security concepts.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to Germany up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a global SAP landscape for high availability.
• Administer SAP Private Cloud environments and support cloud transformation.
• Plan installations, upgrades, patches and kernel updates.
• Execute system copies and landscape refreshes.

Senior SAP Basis Consultant (Core Basis & Cloud Operations)

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to strengthen our internal SAP Platform Basis team and help ensure the stability, security and continuous improvement of our global SAP landscape.

Role & responsibilities

• Operations & reliability Operate and monitor a complex global SAP landscape, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability across SAP ECC 6.0, NetWeaver 7.0, SAP S/4HANA 2025, BW/BI, SAP Datasphere, SAC, BTP, Cloud ALM, CPI and AS Java.

• Cloud operations Administer SAP Private Cloud environments and support cloud transformation initiatives.

• Lifecycle management Plan and support installations, upgrades, patches, support packages, kernel and SAP GUI updates, and release migrations.

• System copies Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies and landscape refreshes.

• Security & access Support IAM, user administration, role and privileged-access concepts, SSO integrations (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificate lifecycle management.

• Change & transport Manage the SAP transport infrastructure and technical change implementation.

• Archiving Support enterprise archiving solutions.

• Service management Monitor performance, capacity and platform health; resolve incidents and problems in line with agreed SLAs.

• Project delivery Lead internal SAP Basis projects and coordinate delivery with the external hosting provider.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8+ years of SAP Basis experience.

• Hands-on expertise in system copies and refreshes, transport management, performance monitoring and optimization, enterprise archiving, SSO (SAML 2.0 and SPNEGO), and digital certificates.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• High level of commitment, responsibility, self-motivation and organization.

• Ability to learn quickly and build expertise in new areas.

• Fluent English (mandatory).

• Willingness to travel to Germany up to 10% of the time.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

• Proven experience managing complex SAP landscapes in international environments.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
