About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Lead SAP Basis Technical Consultant who can take full ownership of SAP landscape architecture and ensure seamless technical operations across on-premise and cloud environments. This position is ideal for someone with deep SAP Basis expertise, strong experience in BTP (Business Technology Platform), and hands‑on leadership in release management and CHaRM processes.

You will design, implement, and optimize complex SAP infrastructures, guiding cross‑functional teams through upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP system landscapes including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, PO/PI, and Solution Manager.
• Manage all SAP Basis administration tasks — installation, configuration, kernel upgrades, transport management, and performance tuning.
• Architect and operate SAP BTP and SAP Cloud Platform solutions including integration, extensions, and security setup.
• Define and execute HA/DR architectures to ensure system reliability and minimal downtime.
• Establish Change Request Management (CHaRM) workflows and release cycles using SAP Solution Manager.
• Drive system monitoring, patching, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to enable smooth system integration and consistent release delivery.
• Oversee SAP upgrades, RISE with SAP transformations, and ECC-to-S/4HANA migration projects.
• Along with operational excellence, the role requires maintaining robust security, backup, and audit compliance consistent with international standards like ISO and GDPR.
• Mentor junior Basis engineers, standardize procedures, and promote automation wherever possible.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of strong experience in SAP Basis administration and technical leadership.
• Proven expertise in SAP Landscape Architecture, Sizing, and Cloud Deployment Models.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite, and Cloud Connector.
• Deep understanding of CHaRM, Release Management, and Transport Governance using Solution Manager.
• Proficient in SAP HANA database administration, backup/recovery, system refresh, and optimization.
• Experience managing SAP workloads on Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Solution Manager 7.2, System Monitoring, and Maintenance Planner tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and leadership abilities with an eye for process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Certified Technology Associate (HANA, OS/DB Migration, or BTP).
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or RISE with SAP projects.
• Exposure to automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Azure DevOps).
• Background in carve‑out, greenfield, and hybrid system implementations.
