Job summary
Fusion Consulting in Bengaluru seeks a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to lead ABAP development in S/4HANA environments. You will craft scalable custom code, optimize reports, and collaborate with architecture and functional teams to deliver upgrade-ready SAP solutions.
The role requires 5+ years of ABAP experience, expertise in HANA-optimized development, CDS Views, and OData services, plus strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills. English fluency is essential.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong ABAP 7.4+ syntax and development standards.
- Hands-on SAP HANA optimized development, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
- Solid understanding of SAP Clean Core and extensibility approaches.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience with performance optimization and SQL tuning on HANA.
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and APIs.
- OO ABAP programming.
- Experience with Git/version control and transport management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in international project environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions in S/4HANA environments.
- Develop scalable and efficient custom developments following ABAP 7.4+ coding standards.
- Apply SAP Clean Core principles to minimize custom code impact and support upgrade-ready architectures.
- Develop and optimize custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, OData services, CDS Views, and APIs.
- Perform code optimization and performance tuning on SAP HANA databases.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support integration developments across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Participate in technical design workshops and architecture discussions.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, transport management, and security guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior consultants.
- Support testing, defect resolution, deployments, and hypercare activities.
- Work within agile project delivery environments and global teams.

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to support global SAP transformation initiatives and contribute to the development of scalable, high-quality SAP solutions in modern S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ABAP development experience with SAP HANA 7.4+ coding standards and a solid understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
