London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) invites a Senior Associate to join the Oil Research team in Mumbai. The role focuses on developing Python-based models for crude and refined product balances and price forecasts, with data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and client-ready reporting.
You will build PowerBI models and dashboards, assist in presentations, and collaborate with senior analysts to strengthen client relationships across Asian markets.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW TEAM MEMBER! Join our diverse, globally distributed team. The LSEG Oil Research team is providing market insight, analysis and instantaneous access to clients interested in the crude oil and refined products markets by continuously monitoring and providing analysis on global supply and demand, trade flows, infrastructure outages, derivatives market and other financial activities.
The analyst will have responsibility to develop and maintain Python-based models of crude and refined product supply and demand balances and price forecasts. The role is based in Mumbai with a focus on the Asian markets, though knowledge of market dynamics across other regions or at the global level is desirable. The new joiner will also be involved in data collection and manipulation, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and assist in writing and publishing timely weekly and adhoc special reports. The candidate will also be required to develop PowerBI models and dashboards for distribution of model outputs, along with PowerPoint documents based on our research and datasets, and ultimately work with the senior analysts on building relationships with the various partners in the energy market.
