Bharat Digital in New Delhi is looking for a public health researcher to support various studies focused on maternal and child health. This role requires a postgraduate degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in public health research.
The ideal candidate should possess strong skills in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, alongside proficiency in data analysis software like SPSS and STATA. Responsibilities include designing research studies, training field teams, and supporting publication efforts.
Supports the research design, study implementation, evaluation of public health, research studies and drafting manuscripts with focus on maternal and child health.
Contribute to design of research study proposals, frameworks, and methodologies
Develop and review quantitative and qualitative study tools (questionnaires, interview guides, etc.)
Support end-to-end implementation of quantitative and qualitative research studies
Train and mentor field teams on data collection protocols and tool
Coordinate with field teams to plan and monitor data collection activities
Track study progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards
Manage datasets, including data cleaning, validation, and documentation
Conduct quantitative data analysis using software such as SPSS, STATA, or similar tools
Contribute to development of research outputs including abstracts, manuscripts, reports, factsheets and policy briefs
Support publication efforts, including drafting or contributing to peer-reviewed journal articles
Postgraduate degree (MPH, MA, MSc, etc.) in Public Health, Sociology, Development Studies, ora related discipline. Minimum 10 years’ experience in public health research. Expert in quantitative data analysis using software such as SPSS, STATA, R or similar tools. Experience in managing and analyzing large scale public health data. Familiarity with qualitative research methods, including conducting or supporting interviewsand qualitative data analysis. Must have independently undertaken such research projects. Training and experience inqualitative research methods will be highly desirable. Experience with digital data collection platforms (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK, Survey CTO) isdesirable Proficiency in MS Word specifically Excel and Power point.
