Job summary

The Advanced Engineering Chemistry Manager at PCB Jobs Search Consultant will lead the IAT advanced engineering chemistry team to define and test improvement solutions for semi-solid polymer batteries and Na-based batteries up to TRL5. You will mentor and guide engineers, perform root-cause analyses, and provide design reviews to ensure project success.

This role requires Scientist and/or PhD level expertise with significant experience and prior managerial responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Scientist and/or PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials or equivalent with significant experience.
• Previous managerial experience is required.
• Experience with battery advanced materials and TRL5 development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IAT advanced engineering chemistry team to define and test improvement solutions for semi-solid polymer and Na-based batteries up to TRL5.
• Provide leadership to coach, motivate, and optimize team performance; perform root cause analysis and review designs.
• Ensure progress visibility to the global chemistry team and coordinate with key technology actors; report results to internal stakeholders and at international meetings.

Job description

Role & responsibilities In line with the IAT advanced engineering chemistry team activities including semi-solid polymer batteries and Na-based batteries, leads the team member and projects to define and test improvement solutions of advanced materials needs until scale one (TRL5). Provides leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and leads the team member to optimum performance levels. Provides expertise and support to technical issues, root cause analysis and review of designs. Gives visibility on the advancement of projects to the global chemistry team. Advanced engineering chemistry manager.

Insures achievement of R&D program to reach objectives - Reviews progress and evaluates results to identify materials and components for battery advanced materials purposes to evaluate up to TRL5. Proposes action plans to lead the work he is in charge of following the specifications established by internal customers. Provides synthesis to hierarchical and functional management and internal customers of the results of the work of his/her team with pro-activity. Leads local collaborations with key technological actors on the market. Participates to international meetings . Technical survey of world state of art, patents & bibliography. Lead a team to achieve his/her activities. Organizes and control the work of the team reporting to to the individual.

Preferred candidate profile Scientist and/or PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials or equivalent with a significant experience in the field of expertise. Previous managerial experience is required.
