Senior Relationship Manager

Location: Chennai. Category: Institutional Sales. Reporting to: Area Manager. Level: Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional sales through Bancassurance partner, ensuring timely delivery of high‑value, high‑quality services to bank beneficiaries.
• Achieve assigned annual target for the branch by driving sales across all customer segments.
• Maintain cordial relationship with branch managers and resolve escalations within TATs.
• Support bank’s sales force: conduct joint sales calls, update branch manager on referrals, adhere to TATs on first customer contact and follow‑ups.
• Provide product training and refresher to branch sales force.
• Ensure activation of bank’s sales force on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
• Drive productivity by advising health insurance solutions.
• Measure penetration across relationship manager, client base / branch base.
• Engage in branch customer awareness program and explore bundle opportunities.
• Create mindshare across branch leadership team.
• Drive reward and recognition programs for bank staff.
• Manage 3 branches with focus on higher segment penetration.
• Lead first‑in‑industry concept.
• Provide propensity lead support from Head Office.

Qualifications

Education & Certificates

• Graduate degree holder in any discipline.

Experience & Skills

• 2–7 years of experience, preferably in Life / General Insurance Bancassurance.
• Relationship Management / Investment & Wealth Advisory experience in banking.
