Job summary

Persistent is seeking a Senior React Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and modern frontend technologies. You will create reusable UI components, integrate with REST APIs and GraphQL services, and translate wireframes into production interfaces with UI/UX collaboration.

This role focuses on AI-powered user experiences, performance optimization, accessibility, and comprehensive testing with Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

Qualifications

• 5–11 years of frontend application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, React Hooks, and modern React practices.
• Experience with AI-powered applications or GenAI products.
• Redux/Context API or similar state management knowledge.
• REST APIs, JSON, and frontend-backend integration experience.
• HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern CSS frameworks.
• Frontend testing with Jest, RTL, Cypress.
• Webpack/Vite, npm, yarn experience.
• Git, branching strategies, code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI, performance, compatibility, and production issues.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, technical design, effort estimation, and development strategy.
• Work with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
• Stay current with emerging React ecosystem trends, AI technologies, and frontend development practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5–11 years of experience in frontend application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, React Hooks, Functional Components, and modern React development practices.
• Strong experience working on AI-powered applications, GenAI products, intelligent automation platforms, or AI-driven user experiences.
• Hands-on experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar state management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, JSON, and frontend-backend integrations.
• Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern CSS frameworks.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, npm, and yarn.
• Strong knowledge of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
