Job summary

Leading Export House in India seeks a Senior Quality Lead to head the Quality Department, ensure client and API standards are met, and drive quality from sourcing to final delivery.

You will mentor junior team members, develop effective quality control processes, and implement QMS, SOPs, QIP, ITPs, and QA plans across all production stages. The role requires 10+ years in the industry, 5+ years leading teams, and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Manage Quality Department.
• Ensure client & API standards are met regarding product quality from sourcing to final delivery.
• Guide & mentor junior team members.
• Understand customer needs to develop effective QC processes.
• Devise and review product/process specifications.
• Set requirements for raw material or intermediates for suppliers and monitor compliance.
• Supervise inspectors, technicians and staff with guidance and feedback.
• Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
• Implement QMS, including SOPs/QIP.
• Implement ITPs, checklists, work instructions, QAPs, and manuals at all production stages.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings/standards.
• Maintain QMS documents/records and assist in updating them.

• Ensure that all requisite client & API standards are met with regards to quality of products (from sourcing to final delivery)
• Guide & mentor junior team members
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
• Devise and review specifications for products or processes
• Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
• Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
• Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
• Implement QMS, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
• Implement Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) / Checklists / Work Instructions / Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) /Manuals at all production stages.
• Ensure that the work is executed / delivered as per approved Drawings / Standards
• Ensure implementation & maintenance of all QMS related documents / records.
• Assist in creating & updating QMS / Quality related documents

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in related industry.
• 5+ years of experience of leading the department, managing teams
• Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Interface with technical support internally to resolve issues that directly impact partners
