Job summary

symplr is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to spearhead quality initiatives across its product portfolio. The role entails leading a team of quality engineers, shaping regression, UI/API automation, and load/performance testing strategies while collaborating with engineering and center of excellence teams.

The candidate will drive automation, coordinate with global teams, and ensure timely releases with highest quality. Prior leadership and robust QA strategy experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 13-15 years of experience in software quality engineering.
• 5+ years leading and managing quality teams.
• Experience with distributed agile teams and automation test strategy.
• Experience with load and performance testing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality engineering initiatives for the product in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
• Directly manage a team of quality engineers in Bangalore as well as remotely.
• Align quality strategy and execution with onshore quality teams.
• Ensure features are released on time with high quality across globally dispersed teams.
• Provide technical direction to onshore and offshore quality engineers.
• Lead test automation efforts for the product.
• Coordinate with performance testing to validate load, stress, and endurance.
• Analyze test results and communicate defects clearly.

Overview

symplr is looking for a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to drive the quality initiatives for symplr products. This person will be responsible for leading a team of quality engineers. By working closely with engineering as well as center of excellence team, they will be responsible for devising and implementing test strategy for regression, UI & API automation as well as load & performance testing efforts for their product.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering and product teams to drive quality engineering initiatives for the product
• Directly manage a team of quality engineers in Bangalore as well as remotely.
• Work closely with the onshore quality team to align on the quality strategy and execution.
• Work with globally dispersed teams and stakeholders to ensure features are released on time with highest quality.
• Provide technical direction to both onshore and offshore quality engineers executing test strategy
• Drive the test automation efforts for their product
• Work with the performance testing team to ensure the product is tested for load, stress and endurance
• Analyze test results, communicate issues and report any defects
• Escalate risks and dependencies encountered during testing process
• Understand quality metrics and drive positive changes based on the metrics
