Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software engineering or QA experience with automation and manual testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience building test automation frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Pytest).
• Solid CI/CD knowledge (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Version control with Git; build tools Maven, npm, or pip.
• REST API testing experience with Postman or similar.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong debugging using logs/observability tools.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; DevOps practices.
• Interest in security/cybersecurity; AI-assisted development.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on Quality Engineering to drive the reliability, scalability, and security of Endor Labs’ products. This role goes beyond traditional QA - you will own quality end-to-end, combining deep technical expertise in automation with a strong understanding of real-world customer use cases.

You will play a key role in designing robust test strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, and integrating quality checks into CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate brings a security-first mindset, proactively identifies risks, and leverages modern AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity, debugging, and test coverage. This position requires both independent execution and strong collaboration within a fast-paced, high-impact engineering environment.

• Own and drive end-to-end quality strategy for product features, from design to release.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites.
• Perform deep manual and exploratory testing for complex security use cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable releases.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.
• Identify, debug, and root-cause complex issues using tools like logs, metrics, and observability platforms.
• Contribute to release processes, including build validation, regression cycles, and production readiness.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to improve development velocity, debugging, and test generation.
• Continuously improve testing practices, frameworks, and tooling to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Advocate for shift-left testing and quality ownership across teams.

What we’re looking for

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software engineering or QA, with strong exposure to both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience building or working with test automation frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Pytest).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and modern release workflows.
• Experience with version control (Git) and build/package tools like Maven, npm, or pip.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools like Splunk, Kibana, or similar log/observability platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of modern software delivery pipelines and release processes.
• Experience working in or strong interest in the security/cybersecurity domain.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to improve development velocity, debugging, and test generation.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical application in software engineering workflow.
