We are seeking a hands-on, meticulous Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with deep expertise in Final Inspection within high-precision manufacturing environments (Aerospace, Automobile, or Precision Machining only).
The ideal candidate will command comprehensive knowledge of GD&T, strong quality documentation practices (PPAP, FAIR, FMEA), and experience utilizing high-precision conventional measuring and inspection tools to ensure zero-defect delivery to global OEM clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Final Inspection & Quality Gatekeeping
- Final Product Verification: Perform rigorous dimensional, visual, and functional final inspections of complex precision-machined components against strict engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify, isolate, and document non-conforming products during final inspection; lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with the shop floor and machining teams.
- Customer Specifications Compliance: Ensure all final products meet exact customer requirements, international quality standards, and industry-specific regulations.
2. Inspection Tools & Verification
- Precision Gauges & Tools: Master the use of high-precision conventional measuring instruments (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, air gauges, etc.) for accurate attribute and variable data verification.
- Equipment Calibration & Maintenance: Oversee the calibration control system, ensuring all measurement and test equipment (M&TE) are calibrated and traceable to national/international standards.
3. Documentation & Quality Assurance Systems
- First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR): Prepare, review, and approve comprehensive FAIRs in compliance with AS9102 (for aerospace) or equivalent automotive standards.
- Quality Records & Traceability: Maintain meticulous documentation trails, material test certificates (MTC), dimensional inspection logs, and dispatch clearance certificates.
- Quality Audits & Compliance Support: Assist in internal and external quality audits (AS9101, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or customer-specific audits) and maintain audit readiness at all times.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Industry Experience:
- Mandatory 5 to 9 years of relevant quality assurance and inspection experience strictly from Aerospace, Automobile, or High-Precision Machining industries.
- Technical Proficiencies:
- Thorough mastery of Engineering Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and blueprint reading.
- Strong working knowledge of quality management documentation including FAIR (AS9102), PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
