Eaton Corporation is seeking a Lead, Quality Engineering in Devanahalli, Karnataka to oversee the Quality System at our aerospace facility. You will drive improvements, ensure compliance, and manage quality through various audits and methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and extensive experience in quality assurance within the aerospace sector. Key skills include project management and a command of quality engineering tools.
The Lead, Quality Engineering is the subject matter expert responsible for establishing, sustaining and improving the Quality System at a growing aerospace facility. The position is also responsible for ensuring product quality through execution of the Quality System in manufacturing processes when the site is ramping up with different customers and a range of products. The role will report directly to the Quality Manager and work cross‑functionally with Operations, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Finance.
Sustain, manage and improve the Quality System that meets customer, regulatory and organizational QMS requirements (Typical requirements include Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS), aerospace OEMs, AS9100, and NADCAP certifications). Validate Quality System effectiveness through ownership, execution of internal & external (3rd Party) Quality System Audits. Leverage EBS tools and best practices to lead a continuous improvement culture, including but not limited to ELSS, EQS, ProLaunch, QBP/QLI, PPAP, change management, and structured problem solving methodologies. Apply quality engineering tools to ensure manufacturing process capability, including use of PFMEA, control plan, MSA, and process validation techniques. Utilize a data‑driven approach to solve problems by obtaining, analyzing, presenting, and taking action on business and process data to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics in alignment with business objectives. Identify organizational training needs and execute training on subjects relating to customer requirements, quality system requirements, and quality engineering tools. Facilitate dialogue with customers, suppliers and the internal Eaton team to understand and resolve potential product quality issues through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). Develop and build a Quality team to meet business & organizational goals and promote a just culture in the organization. Drive transition projects to meet the ramp rate of the organization. Execute other duties as assigned.
