Job summary

Eaton in Bengaluru seeks a senior quality leader to drive the defined Strategic Quality Plan across plant leadership and manufacturing cells. You will lead Total Quality Leadership for customers, suppliers, and partners, guiding continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include supplier quality data analysis, audits, and developing QA training programs while supporting new product launches and process improvements across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15-18 years in manufacturing with at least 10 years in aerospace quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP QA systems; CQE/CQA preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with plant leadership. Provides Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing cells. Leads continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Manages the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

• Manages quality customer interface to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including assisting in complaint resolution and root‑cause analysis for corrective actions.
• Ensures quality organization support to the Supply Chain Management organization in collecting and analyzing supplier quality data and managing DMR activities to address supplier non‑conformances.
• Leads the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation, providing leadership and support in launching new products, processes, and services.
• Participates in, and may lead, audits of internal Quality Systems and serves as the interface/host for Customer and regulatory audits of the Quality Systems.
• Analyzes organizational quality metrics and performs managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
• Develops and implements a quality structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and initiatives.
• Designs and implements quality assurance training programs and delivers training in quality‑related topics.
• Ensures participation in product development and launch activities, including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, and material testing.
• Leads improvement teams in developing and evaluating process capability, process control plans, analysis of out‑of‑control conditions, and process audits.
• Ensures development, implementation, and audit of complex inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
• Evaluates the operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, and commendations.
• Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across Eaton Corp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15-18 years of industrial or manufacturing experience; minimum 10 years in quality within Aerospace Business.
• Command of machining, assembly, testing operations, GD&T, gauging, SPC, APQP, RCCA, inspection techniques, and ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP quality assurance systems. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification desirable.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, and time management skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in problem‑solving methods—Six Sigma, 8D, root‑cause analysis, and associated statistical tools.
• Knowledge of Eaton’s corporate Supplier Quality Assurance requirements.
• Understanding of the phases and requirements of an effective new product development and launch methodology.
• Knowledge of industry and customer‑specific quality registration schemes and certification processes (ISO 9001, ISO/TS‑16949, AS9100, etc.).
• Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets.
• Knowledge of product and end‑user application specifications, including testing requirements.
• Knowledge of gauging and basic understanding of product material properties.
• Understanding of engineering design and product reliability concepts.
• Ability to direct and lead cross‑functional process improvement teams.
• Experience in supervisory/managerial roles.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) preferred.
