Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Coimbatore, India is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance across the lifecycle of compressed air treatment and gas generation products. You will drive quality strategy, establish robust systems, and ensure compliance with international standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers to embed zero-defect quality and continuous improvement, reporting to the SHEQ & Sustainability Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Management & Assurance activities across products and processes.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to embed a culture of zero‑defect quality and continuous improvement.

Your skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001, ISO 13485 internal audits, and documentation practices.
• Experience in tools like FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, Control Plan, statistical process control.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, material inspection techniques, and testing methods.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with customers, suppliers, and senior leadership.
• Strong Knowledge in process of powder coating, Heat treatment, Machining, Casting.
• Exposure in Supplier Audits and Achieving Supplier “Zero defect Approach”
