Job summary

ZEISS India, headquartered in Bengaluru, seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to manage quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost performance of outsourced electronics like PCBAs, modules, wire harnesses and box-build systems.

You will lead supplier quality from prototype to production, drive readiness reviews, review FAI and FAIR artifacts, oversee test development, and push for continuous improvements in yield and defect prevention.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities from prototype through production launch.
• Drive supplier readiness reviews covering process capability, quality systems, manufacturing controls, and test readiness.
• Review and approve: Process Flow Diagrams PFMEAs Control Plans Inspection Plans Test Strategies Work Instructions Support product transfers, supplier changes, and production ramp-up activities.
• First Article Inspection (FAI) Own the FAI process for new products, engineering changes, and supplier transfers.
• Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), qualification reports, BOM validation, and capability studies.
• Ensure all product and process requirements are met prior to production release.
• Manufacturing Test Development Lead qualification and validation of supplier test solutions including: ICT Functional Test (FCT) Flying Probe Boundary Scan Burn-In and Reliability Testing
• Drive improvements in first pass yield, test coverage, and defect escape prevention.
• Supplier Quality Management Manage quality performance of EMS and assembly suppliers.
• Establish supplier scorecards and quality metrics.
• Conduct supplier reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead supplier corrective actions using 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis methodologies.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage the quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost performance of outsourced electronic products, including PCBAs, electronic modules, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and box-build systems.
