Job summary

PFI Innovation Centre India seeks a Senior Quality Automation Engineer to join the Enterprise Investment Technology team in Gurugram. You will collaborate with tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to design and run automated tests, build resilient test infrastructure, and select appropriate tools for implementation.

You will contribute to automated testing strategies, ensure quality through regression testing, and apply problem-solving and communication skills in an agile

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Testing, Analysis, Jira
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes needed for decision making
• Ability to learn new skills continuously through self-initiative and tackling challenges
• Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with testing frameworks and automation scripts for functional and non-functional tests

What You Will Do

As a Senior Quality Automation Engineer on the Enterprise Investment Technology team, you will report to the Enterprise Technology Director and partner with tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to support testing within the Investment BA / iRisk BA team. You will integrate tools and frameworks to run automated tests, design complex test infrastructure and select tools for implementation. You will help create highly resilient applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, and will deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to applied experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

What You Can Expect

• Follow best practices for testing approach and scenarios to automate functional and non-functional tests; remove complex technical impediments
• Leverage and extend testing frameworks as required, focusing on a wide variety of testing techniques and writing reusable scripts / tools that the team and software engineers use for automation
• Validate requirements are delivered to assure overall quality, continually perform regression testing as necessary and apply exploratory and risk-based testing
• Bring an applied understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, begin to find opportunities to provide guidance to the team and coach others, and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day
• Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
• Use programming languages including but not limited to Python, Java, or JavaScript

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
• 5-7 years of experience in: Testing, Analysis, Jira
• Ability to leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
• Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
• Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
• Applied experience with several of the following:
• Core Testing Tools: Unit, interface and end user testing concepts and tooling inclusive of non-functional requirements (performance, usability, reliability, security/ vulnerability scanning etc.); Ensure code aligns with Test Driven Development Cycle principles; write unit, integration tests and basic functional automation
• Standard Office Suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Programming Languages:Java, Python or Javascript
• Frameworks:Informatica, RAFT, Junit or Nosetest
• DevOps Tools & Practices: DevOps automation tools, SDLC coding standards, code review, source control management
• Security: Understanding of security impacts and how testing can ensure security; Includes how security is integrated into DevOps (DevSecOps)
