Job summary

Pidge in Gurugram, India, seeks a Senior QA Engineer to drive AI-enhanced automation. You will design scalable frameworks for UI/API testing, embed AI tools to cut test authoring time, and collaborate with developers to shift-left quality.

You will mentor teammates, improve estimation accuracy, and evolve our CI/CD pipelines with AI-powered test generation and auto-healing capabilities. Experience with AI tools and modern automation stacks is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA experience with hands-on automation.
• Proficiency in at least one automation framework/tool (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, etc.).
• Practical experience using AI tools/APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to assist in code/test generation, or a strong interest to build this capability.
• Experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of test estimation practices and ability to identify automation ROI.
• Good understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA best practices.

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer who can bring AI into our automation framework to reduce test-authoring and maintenance time, and help streamline how we estimate QA effort. This role isn't just about writing automated tests - it's about rethinking how automation gets built, so the team spends less time on repetitive scripting and more time on high-value testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, and/or mobile) using modern tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, RestAssured).
• Integrate AI/LLM-based tooling into the automation pipeline to:
• Auto-generate or suggest test scripts/test data from requirements, user stories, or existing test cases.
• Speed up locator/selector maintenance and reduce flaky test upkeep.
• Summarize test failures and triage root causes faster.
• Identify repetitive or manual QA activities and propose AI-assisted or scripted solutions to cut turnaround time.
• Help refine and reduce QA estimation timelines by identifying where automation and AI tooling can replace manual effort.
• Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Collaborate with developers to embed automated tests early in the development cycle (shift-left testing).
• Mentor other QA engineers on automation best practices and AI-assisted testing techniques.
• Continuously evaluate new AI-powered testing tools (e.g., self-healing test tools, AI test-generation platforms) and recommend adoption where valuable.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Experience building custom scripts/tools that use LLMs for test case generation, data generation, or log/error analysis.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering for test-related use cases.
• Experience with self-healing automation frameworks or AI-augmented testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize).
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
