Job summary

Magic EdTech is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Noida to monitor every phase of development, ensuring designs and software meet company standards. This role emphasizes end-to-end QA ownership, manual and automated testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities include designing test plans, executing tests, reviewing requirements, and contributing to product releases with a focus on quality across UX, performance, accessibility and security.

Qualifications

• Experience owning end-to-end QA of an application.
• Hands-on white box testing experience.
• Knowledge of Web API testing.
• Ability to write SQL queries on MS SQL.
• Ability to execute testing per test plan/strategy.
• Independently log defects and meet delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Quality ownership across UX, performance, accessibility and security.
• Review requirements, technical design and write test cases and procedures.
• Collaborate with Developers; participate in product lifecycle reviews and design reviews.
• Support the test and certification process by getting involved early in development and managing areas of ownership toward release.
• Define test plans, test suites, and test cases; utilize automated tools to optimize the STLC, including functional and non-functional testing (UI and backend).
• Perform manual and automated tests, file bug reports, and collect and report test metrics.
• Analyze and investigate user-reported problems.

As a software quality assurance (QA) engineer, monitors every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards.

Location: Noida

Mode: Full Time

Role/Job Description

Test scoping, design, implementation, execution, debugging, and automation. You will work within a team utilizing an agile development methodology composed of smart, motivated people skilled in Product Management, Development and QA.

• You will be responsible for all aspects of quality including user experience, performance, accessibility and security
• Reviewing and analyzing requirements, technical design and writing test cases and procedures.
• Collaborate with Developers. Actively participate in the entire product life cycle including product specification reviews and design reviews.
• Support the entire test and certification process by getting involved early in the product development cycle and managing areas of ownership through product release
• You will be required to define test plans, test suites, test cases as well as utilize automated tools to optimize the STLC which will include working on functional & non-functional testing, cover UI and backend services
• Performing manual and automated tests, filing bug reports, and collecting and reporting test metrics
• Analyzing and investigating user-reported problems.

Qualifications/Experience/Background

• Experience in owning and working end to end on an application independently.
• Hands on experience in white box testing
• Knowledge of Web API testing
• Should have knowledge of SQL and writing SQL Queries on MS SQL
• Should be able to execute testing as per test plan/strategy
• Independently log defects as per guidelines
• Adhere to timelines of the project in terms of delivery
