Mindstix Software Labs Pvt. Ltd. invites a hands-on Web Automation Engineer to join our Pune team. You will design, implement, and maintain automation suites using Cypress and Playwright for web apps, APIs, and end-to-end flows.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with developers and product owners, and drive reliability and coverage across microservices environments. Strong debugging and scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in Automation Testing are a plus.
• 5+ years of Software Testing and Automation experience.
• Strong hands-on Cypress and Playwright for web automation.
• End-to-end web UI automation and reusable framework design.
• Experience with REST APIs, OAuth/JWT, API Keys, and basic auth.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and test reporting tools (Allure/Extent).
• Strong debugging, analysis, and collaboration skills.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, microservices, and Postman for API validation.

Responsabilités

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web automation test suites using Cypress and Playwright.
• Validate UI elements, page behaviour, navigation, forms, dynamic content, and application workflows.
• Perform API testing and validate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and business rules.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyse test requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify automation opportunities and scenarios.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams during sprint planning, test design, and execution.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure automation coding standards and best practices are followed.
• Debug test failures, identify root causes, and distinguish application defects from automation or environment issues.
• Improve framework reliability, test execution speed, reporting, logging, and reusable test utilities.
• Generate and maintain automation reports using Allure Reports or equivalent reporting tools.
• Support shift-left testing by participating early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, reduce flaky tests, and increase automation efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Automation Testing or Software Testing are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and Playwright for web application automation.
• Excellent knowledge of web UI automation and end-to-end testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks.
• Experience working with REST APIs and validating JSON/XML payloads.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and Basic Authentication.
• Experience using Git for source code management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure Reports or Extent Reports.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerised test execution is an advantage.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API integrations.
• Experience using Postman for API exploration and validation.
• Knowledge of test data management, test environment configuration, and automation best practices.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
