Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst - Automation in India to drive manual and automated testing across web apps, APIs, backend services, and telephony systems. You will work with Python, JavaScript, PHP, ReactJS, Node.js, and API-driven environments to design test frameworks and improve QA processes.

You will own testing strategy within an Agile setup, ensuring releases meet quality and performance benchmarks, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed quality

Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA experience combining manual and automation testing in software development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, MCA, M.Sc. in IT, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman/Newman, Pytest, or similar technologies.
• Strong scripting and programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or Java, particularly for test automation.
• Experience testing web applications built with PHP, ReactJS, and Node.js.
• Solid experience with RESTful API testing using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or custom scripts.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar version control and CI/CD technologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with VoIP/telephony systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks covering UI, APIs, and backend systems.
• Perform end-to-end testing across web applications, RESTful APIs, backend services, and telephony systems.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as JIRA.
• Analyze test results and defect trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to development teams.
• Ensure appropriate test coverage and performance benchmarks are achieved before product releases.
• Participate in product design and code reviews, providing input on testability, quality risks, and release readiness.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing tools, automation frameworks, and methodologies.
• Support reliable and repeatable testing practices across diverse platforms and technical components.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Quality Analyst - Automation based in India.

Join a senior-level quality engineering role focused on ensuring the reliability, performance, and release readiness of modern software products. You'll combine manual and automated testing across web applications, APIs, backend services, and telephony systems. The role offers broad technical exposure across Python, JavaScript, PHP, ReactJS, Node.js, and API-driven environments. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. From designing test frameworks to analyzing defects and improving QA processes, your work will directly influence product quality. • Experience testing or working with Asterisk or similar VoIP/telephony systems is highly desirable.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.


• Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust is a plus.


• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms is advantageous.


• ISTQB or another recognized QA certification is a plus.
