Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience as a Senior Quality Analyst, Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Expertise in scalable test automation frameworks and manual testing fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript, React).
• Proven experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• End-to-end testing experience (UI, API, database).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Strong database testing skills (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

About the Role

As a Senior Quality Analyst in Springer Nature, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our digital products. You'll architect and evolve automated testing frameworks, mentor developers in quality practices, and collaborate with global teams across Germany, UK, and India. Role Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain robust, extensible automated testing frameworks that align with SN-Software Engineering & Systems Integration standards.
• Mentor developers and guide effective testing practices, fostering accountability and embedding SN-Quality Management principles across the team.
• Define and communicate best practices, guidelines, and standards for test automation, ensuring compliance with SN-Governance, Risk and Compliance Management.
• Create and manage comprehensive test suite strategies, applying SN-Process & Systems Design to focus on high-value scenarios and optimize reliability.
• Analyze test results, optimize coverage, and uphold application reliability, leveraging SN-Data Analytics / Quantitative Skills for evidence-based decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to align testing with business needs, demonstrating strong SN-Decision Quality and SN-Accountability.
• Stay abreast of emerging tools and practices, proactively implementing improvements that support SN-Continuous Improvement and SN-Process Optimization.
• Support global teams in design, implementation, and release from an automation perspective, effectively managing complexity through SN-Manages Complexity.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to quality assurance workflows (e.g., intelligent test case generation, anomaly detection, predictive defect analysis) to increase productivity and efficiency.
