Job summary

Ethics Infotech in India seeks a QA Analyst to analyze requirements and design robust test strategies for Odoo ERP modules. You will engage with product managers, developers, and DevOps to ensure end-to-end quality and traceability across business workflows.

The role covers manual and automation testing, cross-browser and cross-platform checks, defect logging, and sign-off reports. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing (Manual & Automation).
• Good to have knowledge on Web & API Automation.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare comprehensive test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Review test cases to ensure adequate coverage, quality, and traceability.
• Maintain and update test documentation in the test management tool.
• Strong hands‑on experience in testing Odoo ERP applications and business workflows.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across Odoo modules.
• Validate end-to-end business processes and module integrations within the Odoo ecosystem.
• Create and maintain test runs with accurate execution status.
• Log defects with complete details, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, logs, severity, and priority.
• Track defects through the defect lifecycle and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Conduct retesting and regression testing after defect fixes.
• Prepare and share QA sign-off reports for releases.
• Coordinate effectively with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Participate actively in daily stand‑ups and team discussions.
• Mentor junior QA team members and share knowledge on testing practices and automation.
• Ensure timely acknowledgment and response to emails, messages, and project communications.
