Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a Senior QA Engineer- Manual to test casino games at our Yerwada, Pune office. You will work closely with developers and product owners to understand changes, craft tests, and ensure high-quality releases in a continuous delivery environment.

The role requires 5–8 years of hands-on testing, strong knowledge of test methodologies, and experience with TestRail/HP ALM/Zephyr. A Bachelor’s degree is required; automation knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of testing experience, especially manual test execution.
• Experience in designing test cases and regression testing.
• Familiarity with agile software development life cycle and Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Validate casino game development work and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

This is a hands-on role that will involve working closely with developers and product owners to understand the impact of changes and ensuring these are fully tested and test results are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.This role would ideally suit someone with previous experience working in a continuous delivery environment with an ability to assess requirements and define test cases to cover both requirements and their regression impact.Key TasksWork with product owners and developers to ensure that requirements are effectively tested.Work with QA leads to ensure new development work is being considered in regression testing and risks are considered and communicated.Preparation and execution of test plans and test scripts.Identify edge situations, user interface flaws, and potential vulnerabilities.Raise and monitor defects and ensure they are re-tested in a timely manner.Analyse fundamental causes of complicated technological challenges and provide ways to enhance product quality.Provide estimates and feedback to the QA Lead and Project Manager for project scheduling purposes.Define and use test reports and templates that are both comprehensive and clear.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Experience working in a continuous delivery model.Significant experience within a testing role to include at least 3 years of hands-on testing experience.Experience in designing test cases.Experience in Agile using Scrum methodology.Experience using Test Case Management Tools such as TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr etc.Experience in managing defects in a structured way using tools such as JIRAExperience of working in all different stages of the SW testing life cycle - functional, integration, regression testingAbility to determine and dictate relevant test types, methods and approaches (e.g. identify where a tool could help with testing; identify when to test boundary conditions)Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent knowledge of test methodologies and development approaches such as Kanban/Waterfall/AgileQualified to ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level – software testing.Knowledge of automation would be added advantage.
