Job summary
Light & Wonder, a global leader in game experiences, invites applications for an Associate Software QA Engineer in Pune. You will ensure game software quality through rigorous testing, bug reporting, and collaboration with global teams.
The role requires 1-3 years of testing experience, knowledge of QA methodologies, and hands-on Jira/QTest usage. On-site at Yerwada, Pune, with opportunities to contribute to live events and production incidents.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of software testing experience.
- Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle.
- Execute test scripts and accurately report status of feature and/or game through scripted and adhoc tests.
- Ability to juggle a variety of tasks, and work in ambiguity on complex problems.
- Strong technical knowledge of computers/mobile devices and ability to effectively troubleshoot computers/mobile devices.
- Experience in writing test scenarios, executing test cases and defect logging.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all software is working as intended through rigorous, detailed testing.
- Proactive in discovering and identifying functionality issues in the game.
- Quickly learn and adapt the standard QA processes to review bugs, test cases, and create documentation.
- Document, maintain, and track the status of all issues in the bug tracking database (JIRA) until issues are resolved.
- Verify the accuracy of Live Game events, to ensure they match design and have proper functionality.
- Utilize debug, admin, and external software tools to diagnose, reproduce and identify issues.
- Reproduce issues, when necessary, to assist software development in resolving issues.
- Communicate with different stakeholders globally.
- Generate status reports, documentation, and other low-level reports for supervisors.

- Required Experience: 1-3 years

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
