Job summary

Experian is seeking a QA Engineer focused on automation to ensure the quality of our software products. You will report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with development, QA, and business teams across regions to meet quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining automated tests, creating test data, writing scripts with TOSCA, Playwright and Postman, and producing clear test reports and metrics.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing with automation.
• Proficient in Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (TOSCA, Playwright, Jenkins).
• ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
• Domain knowledge: SQL databases and computing environments with multiple languages.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Create detailed test plans and strategies based on requirements using Zephyr.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle.

Job Description

As you are a QA Engineer, it is important to focus on quality control and assurance to give business confidence that the product meets the requirements. You will report to the Engineering Manager. You will collaborate with the development team and your department across the region and globe. It is also important to have and to meet quality and performance standards.

• Perform build verification testing, regression testing and feature testing.
• Create reusable test data. Maintain suite of regression tests.
• Analyse, develops, codes automation scripts for regression testing.
• Document test results and produce status reports related to testing.
• Identify and report quality assurance and testing issues and defects.
• Convert requirements and design documents into test cases and scripts, prepare test data and implement tests using Zephyr.
• Ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking.
• Provide assurance that systems conform to requirements and follow their established plans.
• Document the quality testing process, describes the program, evaluation, methods of testing and improvements made to systems.
• Identify potential defects, root cause analysis, suggest options and recommend approaches.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Technical Proficiency: knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Automation Tools: Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., TOSCA, Playwright, and Jenkins).
• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience working with SQL databases and solid experience in a computing environment with multiple programming languages (Python, SQL).
• Test Strategy: Experience in software test strategy, test case writing, execution and analysis.
• Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality assurance and testing principles.
• Documentation: Responsible for reviewing specifications/requirement documents to provide feedback and estimations.
• Test Scenarios: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test scenarios, test plans, test cases, and test estimates. Prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
