Job summary

Experian seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks. The role collaborates with developers and QA to ensure quality across CI/CD pipelines and agile ceremonies. Hybrid work two days per week is required.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in SDET, strong test automation skills (Playwright, Selenium, Appium) and experience with APIs, SQL, and AI-assisted testing. Bachelor's in CS or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role in software development and testing.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Experience with AI tools and AI-driven development lifecycle in testing.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• You should hae 5+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar role in software development and testing
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Experience with agentic AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) and spec-driven agentic development.
• Test Design (Create/Review Test Procedures, Create/Review Test Conditions, Identify/Create Test Data)
• Test Execution (Execute Test Procedures, Create/Triage Bugs, Status Reporting, Provide Requirements Traceability)
• Experience with XML and CSV formats for test data generation.
• Experience with UAT and Production implementation & support.
• Validates Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), assuring the functionality, reliability, performance, and security of the programming interfaces
• Experience with SQL commands to create, store, retrieve, and modify data in a database.
• Experience using AI assistants to generate and maintain test cases, test data, and automation scripts from specs and PBIs, and to triage failures.
• Experience in an AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC): validating AI-generated code and tests, defining acceptance criteria agents can verify, and contributing to quality gates for AI-assisted delivery.
• Experience testing GenAI-enabled features: evaluating LLM outputs for correctness, consistency and safety, building eval datasets, and regression testing prompts and models.
• Familiarity with AI-native testing tools (Playwright MCP, self-healing locators, AI-based visual testing) and with Azure AI Foundry evaluation tooling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester or similar.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure
