Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in both API and UI automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong programming expertise and proven experience working with modern automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright (preferred), along with Rest Assured for API testing. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust automation frameworks, while ensuring the overall quality, reliability, and performance of our applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, execute, and maintain automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, and Rest Assured.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in the team, helping them improve automation skills and providing technical support.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver automated tests accordingly.
- Drive improvements in test automation processes and practices, ensuring scalability, reusability, and high performance of test suites.
- Take full responsibility for automation tasks assigned from design to execution and reporting.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, agile environment and handle changing requirements quickly.
- Collaborate with development to troubleshoot and resolve issues detected during test automation.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage and provide clear, actionable test results and metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in automation testing, specifically API and UI applications.
- Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright (preferred), and Rest Assured for API testing.
- Designing and executing automated tests for RESTful APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with version control systems like Git.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Comfort working in an Agile environment with fast iterations and continuous feedback.
- Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report test results and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to collaborate and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- A self‑motivated individual with a passion for quality and test automation, always seeking innovative solutions.
- Proactive attitude toward challenging work and responsibilities, with a positive approach to complex tasks.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
